Salon for Creative Expression
About the Salon for Creative Expression
The Salon for Creative Expression is a community that comes together to celebrate and be inspired by the creativity of our members. Styled after the artistic salons of France, our salon is an online living room where we gather to enjoy the work of friends, without critique or expectations for monetary exchange.

We believe that creative expression shapes the world into the best image of humanity. We value creativity in all its forms, whether through the visual, performing, or literary crafts. In the past, we’ve had painters, potters, sculptors, pianists, guitarists, lyricists, crafters, poets, writers and gardeners share their work with the community.

On average, 150 visits are made to the salon each month. This may not be the thousand ‘promised’ by other hosts but these are real people with real interest in your work. They come from 37 states and DC within the USA and from 27 other countries. You are invited to join us. No paid subscriptions, no donation requests ever.

There are currently two formats for engaging with the community. Each month a guest artist is featured in the Salon. Guest artists are scheduled up to a year in advance and are selected from members who are actively engaged with the community. Learn more about bringing your craft as a guest artist to The Salon here.

Additionally, our monthly newsletter, The Creative Courier, introduces a ‘Featured Salista’ along with a sample of their work; as well as news shared by community members. Many of those invited to be guest artists in the salon are first introduced in the newsletter. You can learn more about submitting to The Creative Courier here.
